The Point Fortin Executive of the People’s National Movement is fully supporting retired Deputy Police Commissioner Donald Denoon, as the candidate for the upcoming General Election. Mr Denoon had thirty-nine (39) unblemished years as a Police Officer with a wealth of experience and is well known in the community of Point Fortin. He managed the PNM campaign in the district of Erin/Palo Seco in the last local election. He is also a mentor of ad risk youths in the community. Mr Denoon was born in Fullerton Village in Cedros. He is also a member of the local school board in Point Fortin. His father was a retired school principal. His family members play an essential role in the development of youths in the community.

A reliable source has informed SouthsidenewsTT that the executive did not support the Mayor as the candidate, as they felt that he is young and his contribution will be best suited in his current capacity at this time so that he will gain further experience. SouthsidenewsTT has been informed that the screening for candidates will be held on Thursday 28th May 2020.
