A 25 yrs old PH driver was granted $25,000.00 bail for sexually assaulting a 17-year-old girl. According to reports, she was allegedly sexually assaulted by a PH driver while travelling in a taxi on the Cap de Ville, Point Fortin area.
She reported the matter to Southwestern CPU. PC Cruickshank conducted enquire into the circumstances surrounding the victim’s report, which resulted in the man’s arrest on Monday 27th July 2020.
The PH driver of Cap de Ville, Point Fortin was charged with one count of indecent assault.
He appeared before the Point Fortin Magistrates’ Virtual Court on Tuesday 28th July 2020 where he was granted $25,000 bail with surety and was ordered not to communicate with the victim directly or indirectly and to report to the Point Fortin Police Station every Tuesday.
Matters were adjourned to Tuesday 25th August, 2020.
