Police have arrested one man for possession of a quantity of marijuana and a firearm and ammunition. The fine was made in a bushy area in Point Fortin during an anti-crime exercise on Wednesday 29th April 2020.
The anti-crime exercise was co-ordinated by Snr. Supt. Cooper, ASPs Ramphall, Ramdeen, and Abbot and also included Sgt. Ali, PC Boodoo and officers of the Point Fortin Criminal Investigation Department, South Western Division Task Force (SWDTF) and Canine Unit.
Officers went to Bryce Road, Point Fortin, and searched a house and found 145 grams of marijuana. A 55-year-old occupant of the house was arrested.
Also based on information received one revolver and six rounds of .38 ammunition were also found and seized in a bushy area near Reid Road, Point Fortin. Investigation are continuing

Police have arrested a man for Possession of Marijuana and a Quantity of Cash in Central
The quantity of marijuana and cash were found and seized by officers during an exercise Which was conducted in the Central Division today, April 30th, 2020.
The exercise was coordinated by Snr. Supt. Simon, ASP Pierre, Insp Ragoo, Sgt Stewart and included members of the Central Division Task Force and Criminal Investigations Department (CID) Operations Unit, where several search warrants were executed.
Officers went to Francis Street, Couva, and searched the said premises where they found a black plastic bag containing 103 grams of marijuana, $28,805 TT $10 US currency found in a bedroom. The said cash was seized under the Proceeds of Crime Act by Sgt Stewart.
PC Ramoutar formally charged the suspect for Possession of Marijuana and officers of the Financial Investigation Unit are continuing to enquires
