Several residents reached out to our news room voicing their concerns, sighting that the new facility will be seriously destroyed once the party is allowed to take place. Firstly by the construction of the infrastructure, the putting down of the stage, trucks driving onto the grounds to offload equipment, placing of ply board to construct booths for the event which will in turn dehydrate the greens causing them to burn out, and lastly people partying on the grounds which will have an adverse effect. One resident pointed out that it has been more that twelve years they have being waiting for this first class facility which has the potential to bring revenue and joy to the community and the people at large of Point Fortn and Environs through sporting activities, and by hosting this fete the facility will be destroyed in less than twenty four hours.

We reached out to the Minister of Sports who is currently out of the country. Minister Mitchell who is acting for her, calls to his phone went unanswered.
